The second largest island in the Mediterranean sea is a land of ancient history, characterised by unique indigenous vegetation called “macchia mediterranea” (maquis), a very mild climate, and villages with millenary traditions cherished by locals. Enjoy the quiet countryside and meet local shepherds, cheese makers and farmers, who will unveil the secrets and the practices of their ancestors. Beside this, you will discover beautiful beaches and the clearest waters of the Mediterranean sea.

Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Cagliari/Alghero/Olbia. Transfer to a 3*** countryside hotel where welcoming cocktail and dinner will be served, followed by overnight stay.
Day 2: Fonni “Rural Experience”
After breakfast, you can participate in different activities, depending on the season. You can experience the unique opportunity of participating in typical farm activities such as cheese production, fruit and vegetables picking, activities related to beekeeping, etc.
Lunch in the farm.
Guided tour of the wildlife oasis where you will live the unique experience of having direct contact with animals in the wild otherwise impossible to approach as fawns, deers, mouflons and wild boars. A specialised guide will accompany you to give you an explanation of flora and fauna typical of the place. Trekking and walking are also possible. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Fonni – Mamoiada – Orgosolo
After breakfast, city tour of Fonni, famous for murals and archeological sites. Departure to Mamoiada where you can visit the Museum of Mediterranean Masks and Orgosolo where you can see the murals telling the stories, traditions and daily life of the area.
Lunch in a typical restaurant.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, leisure time and airport transfer.
